Clark graduated from Central High School in Peoria Illinois (2015), where she performed in several productions. As a teenager, she attended Roosevelt Performance School for the Fine Arts. She made her breakthrough by playing the role of Raver in the Lionsgate film Pursuit (2022). After starring in a string of television series, including Legacies (2022), The First Lady (2022), and Doom Patrol (2022), Clark was cast in the 2022 Hulu television miniseries Candy, where she played the role of Susan, a fellow congregate based on the real life story of the murder of Betty Gore by accused fellow congregate and friend, Candy Montgomery. She then went on to be cast in the holiday television special A Waltons Thanksgiving, in which she played the second place pie contest winner Mrs. Windham.

Thea and writer Shawn Ren Owens have been married since December of 2020.
