The employees in question, Kathryn Kirtin and Jamie Kaye were both caught after having used corporate money to pay for a variety of things. In Kaye’s case, it was stolen iPads and a vacation totaling £5,000 together. For Kirtin it was designer clothing shopping sprees, a party to celebrate her engagement, a bachelorette party, and a vacation which altogether totaled up a whopping £18,963.
The two have recently been found guilty of the 2010 indulgences, and both have been sentenced to jail time. Kaye will serve nine months, while Kirtin has an 18 month sentence, to be carried out after a suspension period while she raises her newborn.
Maybe they should’ve saved some of that fraud money for better lawyers.
